Andrew Boysen Conducts the First Coast Wind Symphony

On February 22, 2020 at Jacksonville University, the First Coast Wind Symphony presented the eleventh annual Composer Series event, whose purpose is to champion the works of noted contemporary American composers in concerts conducted by the composer and dedicated to their music. The music of award-winning composer Dr. Andrew Boysen Jr. was presented to an enthusiastic audience.

Dr. Boysen is a professor in the music department at the University of New Hampshire, where he conducts the wind symphony and teaches conducting and composition. You can see more information at his website.

The concert also featured French tuba soloist Thomas Leleu; a young, unconventional artist who is one of the few tubists to lead a career as a concert artist. More information can be found at his website.

Videos of the concert are available on the First Coast Wind Symphony YouTube channel.
